Cambridge Dialogues
on Central Europe

A new Cambridge-based platform for academic, policy, and civic engagement with Central Europe.

About us

Central Europe is essential to many of the questions shaping Europe’s future: democratic resilience, security, economic transformation, regional cooperation, and responses to political polarisation. Cambridge Dialogues on Central Europe creates a platform for sustained engagement with these questions at the University of Cambridge.

Building on the legacy of the Cambridge Central European Conferences, the platform brings together scholars, policymakers, students, civil society actors, and regional partners to examine the region’s contemporary challenges and opportunities.

Through lectures, seminars, policy dialogues, student placements, and publications, the initiative creates a dedicated space for understanding Central Europe’s role in contemporary Europe and for addressing shared questions of governance, security, resilience, and cooperation.
